What to Do When the Credit Card Terminal Returns an Unclear Response
If the credit card terminal returns an unclear response, a Payment Confirmation popup will appear on the POS.
Step 1: Check the physical credit card terminal to see if the payment was completed and approved.
Step 2: If it was approved, reach out to your manager to contact support.
Step 3: If it was not approved, click "Go Back" on the POS and retry the transaction before contacting support.
The system has built-in protections to prevent double-charging — if the customer was already charged successfully, the POS will not allow the same amount to be charged again.
