Understanding Transaction Types: Cash, Credit, Gift Card, Check, Loyalty, and Split

Syncrostore POS supports six payment types:

• Cash — A simple cash exchange for goods and services.
• Credit — A card payment sent to the terminal for processing. The customer interacts with the terminal to complete the payment.
• Gift Card — Payment using a store-issued gift card that has been created and activated through the system.
• Check — Payment by written check. Check with your manager before accepting, as your store may not allow checks.
• Loyalty — Redeeming accumulated loyalty points as currency. Requires the customer to be added to the transaction and the Loyalty Program to be enabled.
• Split — Any transaction using two or more payment types. Any combination of the above methods can be used
