Terminal Actions: Reset Terminal and Authorizations
Terminal Actions sits in the right rail directly under your register selector. It acts on whichever register you have selected.

Reset Terminal
Use this when the pinpad is stuck on a prompt, or showing a transaction that's long over.
Press it and a progress window appears. When it's done you'll get a result and an OK button.
What it actually does depends on your terminal:
- DataCap terminals get a genuine reset — the pinpad returns to its welcome screen. Success reads "Terminal reset."
- Dejavoo terminals get a status request, not a wipe. You'll see the terminal's current state, e.g. "SPIN terminal status: …". This tells you whether Syncrostore can still talk to it — useful when you're not sure if the problem is the terminal or the connection.
- External terminals (Manual or Internal) aren't connected to Syncrostore at all: "This terminal is external - nothing to reset from here." Reset it on the device.
If you haven't picked a register you'll see "Select a register first."
Authorizations
This is the one that gets a customer out the door when a card was charged but the sale didn't finish — a browser crash, a lost connection, a closed tab.
It lists every payment taken by you at this store. Admins will see all authorizations for the last 24 hours.

Each row shows the amount, the tender or card type, the masked card number, the time, and a status badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Attached | Already on a completed sale — nothing to do |
| Unattached | Approved, but not on any sale. This is the one you can rescue |
| Voided | Already reversed |
Only Unattached rows have an Attach button.
Attaching a payment
- Ring the customer's items up again as a normal sale.
- Open Terminal Actions → Authorizations.
- Find the charge and press Attach.
The payment joins the current sale. If it covers the balance the sale completes there and then; otherwise it shows as a partial and you collect the rest.
Attaching makes no call to the terminal and takes no money. It's moving an already-approved charge onto the right sale. The customer is not charged twice.
You'll need items on the sale first — otherwise "Cart is empty. Add items before attaching."
It works for every tender, not just cards.
