How Tax Exempt Works in POS

Tax exemption can only be applied when a Tax Exempt customer is selected.

What You Need Before Using Tax Exempt

  • A customer selected on the transaction

  • Customer marked as Tax Exempt (including required tax/reseller information)

Applying Tax Exemption

  1. Select the tax exempt customer

  2. Use the tax exempt checkbox or Tax Exemption action (based on your setup)

  3. Verify tax updates in the transaction summary

Common Issue

If you click tax exempt without selecting a tax exempt customer, it will not apply.
