Manual Items: ItemID of '0'

What does a sale of an item with ID, '0' mean?

Syncrostore generates a unique ItemID for every inventory item you possess.

When you see an item with an ID of zero, do not be alarmed! This simply indicates the sale of a "Manual Item" input by the cashier assigned to your vendor ID. These items are not added to your inventory, they simply exist as a workaround to enter in a custom item at the POS.

A manual item has an ItemID of 0 as it is a one off item, something which does not occur regularly from your inventory. This can be due to several reasons:

Item Barcode Not Scanning: Sometimes an item's label will become worn down or otherwise be unable to scan. Cashiers can then enter a manual item with the same price as the inventory item, and continue with the transaction as normal.

Custom Item: If you tend to sell many custom or "made to order" items, you may find it easier to enter manual items into the POS with a decided price rather than using an inventory item.
