Integrated Label Printing Setup with QZ Tray

Syncrostore supports integrated barcode label printing through QZ Tray. Once configured, labels are sent directly to your label printer without browser print dialogs or additional printer configuration.

Important Notes About QZ Tray Printing

This article assumes:

  • QZ Tray is already installed and running
  • Your printer drivers are properly installed at the operating system level
  • Your default label size and label type are already configured in your local printer preferences

QZ Tray and Syncrostore do not modify your printer’s hardware settings, label sizes, paper dimensions, darkness, orientation, or calibration. Syncrostore simply sends a print job to QZ Tray, and QZ Tray forwards it to your locally installed printer using the printer’s existing configuration.

If your printer is configured for the wrong label size locally, it may print incorrect dimensions, print blank labels, print only a single label, misalign barcodes, or feed incorrectly.

Before troubleshooting Syncrostore, confirm your printer can successfully print the correct label size directly from your operating system and manufacturer tools.

If you continue experiencing issues, we recommend uninstalling QZ Tray and returning to the standard PDF generation workflow.

Integrated printing supports popular label printers including Dymo, Zebra, iDPRT, and other Windows- or macOS-compatible label printers.

Before You Begin

  • Install your label printer on your computer.
  • Make sure the printer is working properly in Windows or macOS.
  • Install QZ Tray on the machine being used for printing.
  • If you just installed QZ Tray, reboot your computer, then continue setup.

If you just installed QZ Tray must remain running in the background while using integrated printing.

Step 4: Choose Your Barcode Label Format

Choose the label format your store uses (for example Dymo 30252 or a Custom size) using Select Label Size. Make sure the selected format matches the physical labels loaded into your printer.

Custom labels:

set the Printer type to match your printer — iDPRT & other or Dymo LabelWriter — and pick the Barcode type (Code 128 or QR). This replaces the old “load sideways” swap option.

Print Barcode Labels

    Step 1: Select Inventory Items

Choose the inventory items you want to print labels for.

    Step 2: Open Print Options

Click Print Options → Print Barcodes.

    Step 3: Dual Pricing

Dual pricing is chosen by the label type in the picker — select a Dual Pricing label (or, on a Custom label, check Credit Price). The credit price prints large and bold with the smaller “CASH” price beneath it.

    Step 4: Enter Label Quantities

Specify how many labels you want for each selected item, then click Print Selected. Syncrostore immediately sends the prepared labels directly to your printer.

    Benefits of Integrated Printing

      • No browser print dialogs
      • No portrait or landscape adjustments
      • No repeated printer setup
      • No additional print configuration required
      • Faster barcode label printing workflow

    Important Notes

      • QZ Tray must remain running on the machine.
      • Integrated printing must be configured on each workstation individually.
      • Label formats must match the labels physically loaded into the printer.
      • Browser print settings are bypassed entirely once configured.
      • Some industrial printers (notably TSC and certain Zebra models) don’t render one-click jobs reliably. If QZ Tray reports success but nothing prints, uninstall QZ Tray and use the PDF workflow.
      • If QZ Tray is not detecting your printer, try restarting QZ Tray by clicking the icon in the system tray, and pressing "Restart"QZTray
      • If QZ Tray still can not detect your printer, restart your computer and your printer
