Creating Item Specific Deals

Items in Syncrostore can have several types of deals

Creating Item Specific Deals

Item deals can be created upon item creation, or after the item has been created by selecting Open followed by Edit Item on the desired item card.

Once within the item's edit screen, near the bottom you will find the Deals section. This is where all deals for this item are specified.

Note: All item deals are based upon a minimum quantity. That is to say, the specified deal is applied once the minimum quantity of the item has been entered into the POS.

Note: The discount amount applies to each qualifying item individually. For example, if you set a New Price of $10, every item in the transaction (once the minimum quantity is met) will be priced at $10 each — not $10 for the total.

Be aware that Item level deals stack with other discounts. The item-level deal is applied first, treating the discounted price as the new base price. Any additional discounts (such as a register discount) are then calculated on top of that reduced price.

Items can have several different deals associated with them:

  • New price: Applies a new price to each of the items in the deal once minimum quantity is reached
    • For example, if you want to reduce price for a bulk discount: Assume you have an item which costs $5 normally. Running a deal with a minimum amount of 100 could reduce the price to $2.50 per item, reducing the overall cost for 100 units from $500 to $250.
  • Flat Amount Off: Removes a flat amount from the normal cost of the item in the deal
    • For example, if you wanted to run a "Three for $6" deal on an item which costs $3 for one: Normally, three items would cost $9, so apply a Flat Amount Off discount of $1, and the total of the three items will now be $6 at checkout.
  • Percentage Off: Similar to flat amount off, applies a percentage discount to the normal cost of the item in the deal
    • For example, if you wanted to run a "2 for 1" deal: Apply a minimum quantity of 2 items, with a discount of 50%. This halves the price of two items, essentially making one free.
