How to Use Retail Store Mapping to Organize Inventory by Physical Location

Retail Store Mapping (also called Store Mapping – Inventory) allows you to create a visual representation of your store focused on inventory locations.

Available Toolbox Shapes:

  • Inventory Location (Rectangle) — Rectangular inventory storage area
  • Inventory Location (Oval) — Oval inventory storage area
  • Store Container — Overall store or section container
  • Checkout, Door, Counter, Text — Annotation and landmark shapes

How to Use:

  1. Navigate to Retail Store Mapping from the Admin menu.
  2. Drag shapes onto the canvas to represent your store's physical areas.
  3. Double-click on an inventory location shape to name it, add notes, and view/manage inventory items assigned to that location.
  4. Press "Save" to persist your layout.

Below the diagram, a grid shows all inventory location spaces with their Space ID, Space Type, Name, and Notes.
