How to Select the Correct Terminal Before Opening a Cash Drawer

Before opening a cash drawer, it is critical to select the correct payment terminal on the Point of Sale page.

Step 1: On the Point of Sale page, locate the terminal dropdown at the top of the action panel.

Step 2: Verify the displayed terminal name matches the physical register you are working at.

Step 3: If incorrect, click the dropdown and select the right terminal.

Important: When you open a cash drawer, it becomes "tied" to the terminal you have selected. Make sure this is correct before proceeding to Cash Drawer Management.
