How to Take Payments in Syncrostore POS (Cash, Credit, Gift Card, Check, Points)

Step-by-step guide to processing cash, credit, gift card, check, and loyalty points in Syncrostore POS—plus receipts and partial payments.

Payment Methods Available

Syncrostore POS supports:

  • Cash

  • Credit

  • Gift Card

  • Check

  • Points Redemption (if loyalty is enabled)

Cash Payments

  1. Click Cash

  2. Enter cash received (or select a quick amount)

  3. Review change due

  4. Click Apply Payment (no receipt) or Apply Payment & Print Receipt

Credit Payments

  1. Click Credit

  2. Adjust amount if doing a partial payment

  3. Click Apply Payment (or Apply + Print Receipt)

Manual Credit

Use Manual Credit when the card can’t be tapped/swiped/inserted:

  • The terminal will prompt to accept the amount

  • You’ll manually enter card details on the terminal

  • Once approved, the transaction completes

Gift Card Payments

  1. Click Gift Card

  2. Scan/type gift card number

  3. Click Check Balance

  4. Click Apply Payment (or Apply + Print Receipt)

If you receive an error selling/redeeming gift cards, confirm the gift card was created/added in the Sales → Gift Cards area (store setup dependent).

Check Payments

  1. Click Check

  2. Enter check number

  3. Click Apply Payment (or Apply + Print Receipt)

Points Redemption

If loyalty is enabled:

  • You’ll see available points

  • Apply eligible points toward the transaction

Partial Payments

Syncrostore supports partial payments:

  • Enter a lesser amount than what’s due

  • Apply payment

  • Repeat using additional payment types as needed
    Syncrostore allows unlimited payments until the balance reaches zero.
