How to Fill Out Basic Information When Adding a New Inventory Item

The Basic Information tab contains all required fields for creating a product.

Required Fields:

  • Title — The name of your item. It appears on all tags and helps customers and cashiers find it.
  • Quantity — The amount in stock. You can update this later.
  • Price — The amount customers will be charged.
  • Condition — Select the condition that best describes the product from the dropdown.

Optional but Recommended:

  • SKU — A unique product identifier (letters and digits). Must be unique store-wide.
  • UPC — A unique product identifier (typically digits). Must be unique store-wide.

After filling out the required fields, you can press "Finish" at the bottom to create the product. However, we recommend adding as much additional information as possible on the other tabs.
