Only dual pricing stores print two prices on a tag. If your tags show one price, your store is set to Vendor Choice (the tag shows the credit card price) or doesn't use dual pricing (the tag shows the cash price).

These steps use the New Experience. If your menu looks different, click Switch to New Vendor Experience (vendors) or Switch to New Experience (Beta) (staff) at the top of the page.
Which price prints on a tag

Syncrostore picks the prices automatically on standard labels, batch printing, custom sizes and the Label Designer. There's nothing to set per item, and nothing to choose when you print.
If you expected two prices
- Ask your store admin which pricing method the store uses. Admins: go to Settings > Store settings (or Settings > Overview and the Money tax & payments tile). This opens the classic store settings page. Check the Card Rate Type setting.
- If the store is on Vendor Choice, one price (the credit card price) is expected. See What is Vendor Choice pricing and how do I turn it on?
- If the store doesn't use dual pricing, one price (the cash price) is expected.
- If the store is on dual pricing and a tag still shows one price, reprint the tag from Inventory (tick the item, then Print labels in the bar that appears). If it still shows one price, contact Syncrostore support with the item and the label size you used.
What the customer pays
Cash and check customers get the cash price at checkout automatically. The cashier doesn't calculate or apply a discount; Syncrostore does it from the payment method.
"The card price looks higher than our card percentage"
The calculation accounts for the item price, sales tax and the card percentage together, then removes the tax portion. Comparing the two item prices side by side makes the gap look bigger than the card percentage. The card percentage hasn't changed.
Getting clean tag prices (like $29.99)
Use the Tag Calculator in the vendor menu. It opens in a pop-up and only shows at stores that use card pricing.
- Choose I know my tag price and enter the number you want printed.
- The calculator tells you what to price the item at. For example, to show $12.00, price the item at $11.51.
- For many items, the Popular Tags tab lists common price points.
Troubleshooting
- Can my Vendor Choice store print two prices? No. Two prices print only when the store uses dual pricing. Changing the store's pricing method is a store decision.
- My Vendor Choice store's tag shows the cash price, not the card price: the vendor may not be opted in to card pricing. Staff: open People > Vendors, click View on the vendor, then check Card price opt-in on the Settings tab. Reprint the tags after changing it.
