Can't sign in since the switch to one login? Clear your browser's cookies and cache
Fix sign-in loops, wrong-store redirects and blank screens by clearing Syncrostore's saved browser data
If signing in keeps failing, loops back to the sign-in page, or sends you to the wrong store since the switch to one login for all your stores, your browser is probably holding on to old Syncrostore sign-in data. Clearing the cookies and cached files for mysyncrostore.com, then signing in again, fixes it in almost every case.
Who this is for
Store admins, staff, cashiers and vendors who sign in to Syncrostore in a web browser.
Signs your browser has old sign-in data
- You enter your email and password and land back on the sign-in page.
- You're sent to the wrong store, or to a store you no longer use.
- You get a blank screen right after signing in.
- You see "HTTP Error 400 - Request Too Long".
- Signing in works in a private or incognito window but not in your normal browser.
Before you clear anything: two quick checks
- Try a private window. Open a private or incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N in Chrome and Edge, Cmd+Shift+N in Chrome on a Mac, Shift+Cmd+N in Safari) and sign in at your store's address. If it works there, the steps below will fix your normal browser.
- Landed in the wrong store? Click Not your store? Sign in to a different one under the sign-in button. This signs you out and lets you pick the right store without clearing anything.
Clear Syncrostore's cookies and cached files
These steps remove saved data for Syncrostore only, so you stay signed in to your other websites. Search for mysyncrostore in each list.
Chrome (Windows or Mac)
- Click the three dots at the top right, then Settings.
- Click Privacy and security, then Site settings, then View permissions and data stored across sites.
- Type mysyncrostore in the search box.
- Click the trash can next to mysyncrostore.com, then Delete.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots at the top right, then Settings.
- Click Privacy, search, and services (or Cookies and site permissions), then Manage and delete cookies and site data, then See all cookies and site data.
- Search for mysyncrostore and click the trash can next to each result.
Safari (Mac)
- Click Safari in the menu bar, then Settings.
- Click Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
- Search for mysyncrostore, select it, and click Remove.
Firefox
- Click the three lines at the top right, then Settings.
- Click Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data.
- Search for mysyncrostore, click Remove All Shown, then Save Changes.
iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open the Settings app and tap Safari (on newer versions, Apps > Safari).
- Tap Advanced, then Website Data.
- Search for mysyncrostore, swipe left on it, and tap Delete.
Android (Chrome)
- In Chrome, tap the three dots, then Settings, then Site settings.
- Tap All sites and find mysyncrostore.com.
- Tap it, then Delete (or Clear & reset) and confirm.
Quicker option (signs you out of all websites)
Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Cmd+Shift+Delete on a Mac) in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Set the time range to All time, tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Clear data. This signs you out of every website, not just Syncrostore.
Then sign in again
- Close every browser window, then open the browser again.
- Go to your store's address, like yourstore.mysyncrostore.com.
- Sign in with your email and password. If you had different passwords at different stores, any of them works.
- Leave Remember me ticked if this is your own device.
Troubleshooting
- Still sent back to the sign-in page: make sure you cleared data for mysyncrostore.com itself, not only your store's address, then close and reopen the browser.
- Password not accepted: click Forgot Password? on the sign-in page. See How do I reset my password? The new password works at all your stores.
- Shared register computer: clearing cookies signs out everyone who uses that browser. Each person signs in again with their own login.
- "Request Too Long" on a computer several people use: too many saved logins. Clear the cookies as above, or give each person a private window.
- Buttons do nothing or prices show $0 after you're signed in: that's a different problem with old page files. See My screen looks broken after an update. How do I hard refresh?
- Still can't sign in in a private window: it isn't your browser. Contact Syncrostore support with your store name, your login email and the exact message you see.
