ACH payout failed email or no direct deposit yet. What happened?

What payout failed and canceled emails mean, and when your direct deposit should arrive.

ACH direct deposits are not instant: after your store sends your payout, it usually reaches your bank in 1-2 business days (banks don't process on weekends or holidays), so allow up to 3 business days before contacting anyone. Payouts sent after the 4:15 PM ET same-day cutoff start on the next business day.

Who this is for

  • Vendors paid by direct deposit (SyncroPay/SyncroACH, or Stripe at stores that haven't switched yet). These steps use the New Experience. If your menu looks different, click Switch to New Vendor Experience at the top of the page.
About the "ACH payout failed (canceled)" emails on October 1, 2026

On October 1, 2026 some vendors received "ACH payout failed" or "canceled" emails by mistake. Those payouts were paused, not failed, while a small issue was fixed, then sent again. If you got one of those emails, you don't need to do anything. Your deposit should have arrived within 1-3 business days.

If your deposit hasn't arrived

  • Check the timing. Count business days from the day your store sent the payout. Weekends and bank holidays don't count, and a payout sent after 4:15 PM ET counts from the next business day.
  • Check that your store paid by direct deposit. Stores can pay some vendors by check and others by ACH. Open Money > Payouts & invoices. On the Payouts tab, the Method and Status columns show how each payout was sent and where it is (for example Paid, Processing or Payment failed). Click a row for the details, or ask your store how it paid you.

  • Check your bank account is verified. Click your avatar, then Settings > Payments & Banking. On the SyncroPay direct deposit card, the account should show Verified and be chosen under Payout account. If it isn't verified, your store can't pay you by direct deposit and may pay you by check instead.
  • Still nothing after 3 business days? Contact Syncrostore support with your store name, login email, settlement date and amount.

If your store still uses Stripe

  • Stripe is supported until January 1, 2027, when it is decommissioned.
  • Stripe ACH payouts take 3-5 business days (not counting weekends and holidays).
  • Payouts are handled by Stripe. Check your Stripe account and emails, and contact Stripe with the transfer confirmation ID if it's late.
  • A $0.00 "Stripe Settlement: ACH" line in your account activity is just a transfer marker; the amount paid is on the settlement.

Troubleshooting

  • Settlement shows a different amount than your sales: That's normal. See Understanding Your Settlement: Your Sales, Your Balance, and Your Check.
  • No payout at all this period: The Payouts tab has a Why didn't I get a payout on ? card with the reason. If rent, fees or a carried-over negative balance were larger than your sales, there may be nothing to pay. See Why did two months of rent come out of one settlement?
  • When does my store pay? Payout dates are set by your store, not Syncrostore. Ask your store.
